Under his leadership, the ensemble has steadily developed, significantly expanded its repertoire, and grown by 20 professionally trained musicians, it was stated. Joint guest performances have taken the orchestra and conductor to venues such as the Baden-Baden Festival Hall, the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, the Salzburg Festival Hall, and the Berlin Philharmonie.

"Culture needs continuity and creativity to thrive," explained C. Sylvia Weber, Managing Director of the Reinhold Würth Music Foundation gGmbH. "We are convinced that the excellent collaboration to date – in the overall performance with all the guests on stage – will continue to bear fruit, and we support Claudio Vandelli in his work."

Vandelli said he was very pleased and honored by the extension of his contract. It would allow him and the Würth Philharmonic to continue and complete their joint development and collaboration. "Among the many projects, the idea of a joint tour is particularly close to my heart," the conductor emphasized.

The Würth Philharmonic was founded in 2017 on the initiative of entrepreneur Reinhold Würth. The orchestra's home base is the chamber music hall of the Carmen Würth Forum, which opened that same year and is named after the entrepreneur's wife, in Künzelsau, Baden-Württemberg. In 2015, the Philharmonic appointed the American Kent Nagano as its honorary conductor. He conducted the orchestra at its first concert and has been a frequent guest in Künzelsau ever since.
