Nelsons is now an honorary member of the Vienna Philharmonic

The Vienna Philharmonic has appointed conductor Andris Nelsons as an honorary member. The orchestra announced this on Tuesday. "We have enjoyed a deep artistic partnership with Andris Nelsons for many years," said orchestra chairman Daniel Froschauer. "He is one of the Philharmonic conductors who have become particularly close to the orchestra in recent years."
