About Classicpoint

Dear Classicpoint visitors,

I am delighted that you have found your way to this platform. Classicpoint.net is the largest online portal for classical music in Switzerland. We recently opened the portal to Germany and Austria as well. The portal was founded on May 1, 2006, and has since become very well established in the cultural sector. The site offers a comprehensive concert calendar, daily news, a festival guide, and a directory of performers, teachers, composers, organizations, ensembles, etc. We also publish monthly interviews with prominent figures in the classical music world.

From the outset, the idea was to create a portal that would offer added value for visitors and classical music enthusiasts, as well as for musicians and promoters. The concert calendar is a good example. Through interfaces with major promoters, concerts are automatically synchronized daily with their databases. This ensures the concert calendar is always up-to-date. Visitors have the option of creating a concert subscription and receiving email notifications whenever a new concert is added in their subscribed cantons. This ensures they never miss an interesting concert.

Classicpoint.net also serves as an interface to other platforms. Concerts are exported daily to the official Switzerland Tourism website (myswitzerland.com), the cultural magazine Ensuite imports concerts for its print edition and kulturagenda.ch, and Guidle imports concert data. Organizers no longer need to register concerts on each platform individually; they can simply enter them on Classicpoint.net, and they will be directly exported to partner platforms. This provides genuine added value that is highly appreciated.

The unique platform Classicpoint.net brings classical music to the internet and aims to contribute to filling concert halls. It offers the opportunity to reach young people, who are at home on the internet and social media, and to inspire them with a passion for classical music.

The positive feedback and the great interest in the platform demonstrate its necessity and potential. A big thank you goes to the numerous members who make the maintenance and development of this platform possible.

I hope you enjoy your visit to this website and that you will visit us regularly and perhaps even register to publish your own concerts, press releases, or directory listings.

Florian Schär With best regards and wishes
