Career orientation camp for young Ukrainian musicians
In Ukraine, classical musicians receive strong support from childhood. Due to the Russian war of aggression, many young musicians were forced to leave their country. The regioCAMP project aims to provide them with concrete prospects for a career or studies in Germany and Europe. The first educational and cultural camp for career orientation begins today, Monday, in Mainz with five classical musicians aged between 14 and 25.

"The aim of the project is to open up perspectives for young musicians, to promote their talents and to support them through targeted career guidance in making music a viable part of their lives," said Antuanetta Mishchenko, project manager and managing director of regioCAMP gUG.
The selection process for the young participants consisted of three rounds. Afterwards, the young musicians received various homework assignments to prepare for the camp. The organizers cover all costs for the participants, including accommodation, meals, materials, and all activities during the project week. Following the camp, the young musicians will receive further support for two months.
The educational and cultural camp is explicitly designed as a long-term project. The aim is to continue the career orientation camp in the coming years, providing young musicians from Ukraine, and in the future also from other European countries, with guidance, networking opportunities, and new career prospects.
