Zentrum Paul Klee, Bern
The diverse musical offerings at the Zentrum Paul Klee:
In 2007, the Zentrum Paul Klee launched a new concert series – the so-called "Master Concerts." The brilliant opening concert on September 2, 2007, featured Murray Perahia, one of the most sought-after pianists of our time. The "Master Concerts" have since become an integral part of the city's cultural life, with international appeal for the cultural city of Bern. Soloists such as Maria João Pires, Hilary Hahn, Janine Jansen, Hélène Grimaud, Mischa Maisky, Frank Peter Zimmermann, Heinrich Schiff, Vesselina Kasarova, Albrecht Mayer, the Hagen Quartet, and many others are associated with the Zentrum Paul Klee.
In addition, the Zentrum Paul Klee presents a program of around 40 concerts per year in various concert series, including the series of the in-house Ensemble Paul Klee, the Camerata Bern, the Bernese Chopin Society, the Tharice Virtuosi, the Weinberger Concerts, the Camerata Menuhin, and others. Specifically related to the exhibition themes, there is an annual supporting program with short events in the exhibition rooms.
