Arsika Trio
ARSIKA TRIO was founded in 1999 by the renowned Swiss violinist Sibylle Tschopp. Under the leadership of Sibylle Tschopp, it has since performed with great success on extensive concert tours and appeared at important venues in Switzerland, Central and South Americas and Eastern Europe, such as the Festival “Schubertiade” at Lausanne, “Festival Internacional Cervantino” in Mexico, “Festival de las Artes” in Costa Rica, Komitas-Hall of the Yerevan Philharmony, at the Alte Kirche Boswil, at Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Quito, Guatemala City, Santo Domingo and many others more. Many of its performances have been live broadcasted by „Radio Suisse Romande“ and further broadcast companies. ARSIKA TRIO has earned much critical acclaim for its fine musicality, virtuosity and keen sense of style.
International cultural exchange means a lot to the Swiss Trio. That is why ARSIKA TRIO is giving master classes for young musicians at many stages of its concert tours.
ARSIKA TRIO performs a wide range repertoire of classic, romantic and modern styles, including famous masterpieces as well as rarely played compositions. The collaboration with contemporary composers is an important part of its musical work. In 2001, ARSIKA TRIO performed the world premiere of the Piano Trio by eminent composer Tigran Mansurjan, specially written for ARSIKA TRIO and commissioned by the „Société de la Musique Contemporaine“ at Lausanne, Switzerland.
