The Moser Building, opened in 1910, forms the historical core of the Kunsthaus Zürich. Today, it houses important works of art from eight centuries – from medieval icons and modern classics to internationally renowned paintings and sculptures by artists such as Monet, van Gogh, Munch, Picasso, and Warhol – with the specific selection varying depending on the current exhibition.
During the promenade concert at the Kunsthaus Zürich, our musicians perform in changing formations in the various rooms of the Moser Building. The musical program captures the visual expression of the exhibited works and reflects it musically. Outside of regular opening hours, the audience moves freely between the exhibition spaces during the promenade concert. They wander between eras, experiencing a wonderful and unique connection between music and art that will linger long after the performance.
