Bach Weeks Thun
The Thun Bach Festival was founded in 1987 in the over 1,000-year-old Romanesque church in Amsoldingen and has since stood for the values of its namesake, Johann Sebastian Bach: quality, tradition, and innovation.
The festival September in the churches and concert halls of the Thun region. Ten first-class concerts, ranging from classical and contemporary music to folk music and jazz, are offered, performed by select regional and international artists. The programs present the works of Johann Sebastian Bach in the context of other composers and are aimed at music lovers of all ages, as well as those unfamiliar with classical music.
The Thun Bach Festival is directed by artistic director and general manager Vital Julian Frey.
