Camerata Variabile was founded in Basel in 1994 and comprises internationally active musicians dedicated to chamber music. Their model features flexible ensembles rather than a fixed lineup, allowing for a wide range of combinations from solo pieces to nonets. A particular strength of the ensemble lies in its meticulously researched, thematically driven programs that explore the relationship between early and contemporary music.
