Concert Choir Harmonie Zurich
The Harmonie Zurich Concert Choir is an ambitious amateur choir with approximately 100 active singers. The choir's repertoire encompasses works from the Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods, extending to contemporary pieces. Under the direction of conductor Peter Kennel, the choir consistently and successfully ventures into new territory, presenting Swiss premieres and bringing newly composed works to life for the first time. Since its founding in 1841, the Harmonie Concert Choir has been an integral part of Zurich's choral scene. The choir typically performs two concerts annually: one at the Tonhalle Zurich and another in churches within the city or region of Zurich. Members have the opportunity to further their musical development through vocal lessons and participation in smaller ensembles.
