Zug City Orchestra
The Zug City Orchestra, founded in 1922 as the St. Cecilia Orchestra, is the only symphony orchestra in the city of Zug. Under the direction of Jonathan Brett Harrison, we perform symphony concerts in June and November, usually at the Theater Casino Zug. For these concerts, we invite promising young soloists. We also occasionally perform concerts for children and senior citizens.
In addition, the City Orchestra serves as the church orchestra for St. Michael's Parish. Under the direction of Marco Brandazza, several orchestra members accompany the St. Michael's Church Choir on all major feast days. Participation is voluntary but has a long tradition.
