A Cappella Choir Zurich
The A Cappella Choir Zurich is an ambitious ensemble of approximately 24 singers. Founded and directed by Piergiuseppe Snozzi in 1972, the choir specialized for many years in Renaissance sacred music with its ethereal, transparent harmonies, thus developing its characteristic, intense, and pure sound. Under the subsequent conductor Bohdan Shved, who took over in 2012, the choir has steadily expanded its repertoire and now dedicates itself to the most beautiful sacred works of all eras and diverse styles, from Hildegard von Bingen to contemporary composers. Since August 2021, Amir Tiroshi has been conducting the A Cappella Choir Zurich. He cultivates a subtle, precise, and energetic performance practice.
