The New Hamburg Philharmonic was founded in 2001 by freelance professional musicians from around the world. Since then, the orchestra has established and maintained a leading position in the North German music scene. It sees itself as a dynamic orchestra, capable of expanding from smaller chamber ensembles to a large symphony orchestra with choir. However, the core has always remained the chamber orchestra, which has hardly changed since its founding and is exceptionally well-rehearsed. With numerous guest appearances in Spain, France, Italy, and South Korea, it has gained a large following among audiences. The orchestra's concertmaster, Tigran Mikaelyan, will conduct.
