Let the New Zurich Chamber Choir, under the direction of Andrea Fischer, whisk you away on a journey through the sparkling night sky of a cappella choral music in "via dal lat" (Romansh for "Milky Way"). The choir peers through a telescope, discovering romantic rendezvous, breathtaking celestial phenomena, familiar folk songs, and spiritual guiding stars, culminating in a glimmer of eternal light. The program features works by Ešenvalds, Reger, Brahms, Grieg, Pärt, Purrington, Willisegger, Todd, Tarney, Engquist, Fricker, Elgar, Hagen, and Bardill. Interspersed throughout the program, choir members Christoph Meier and Beno Koch will entertain you with astonishing facts from astronomy and physics, reflecting on unattainable ideals. Marvel, dream, philosophize, smile, and simply enjoy – this concert evening offers galactic space for all of this!
