On September 6, 2026, the StradivariFEST Klangwelle (Sound Wave) opens its 2026/27 season around Lake Zurich at the Tonhalle Zurich with the renowned StradivariQuartett and pianist Andrea Wiesli. The program centers on Gabriel Fauré's famous Piano Quintet No. 2 in C minor and César Franck's seminal work, the Piano Quintet in F minor. Each concert will be preceded by a "Prélude," in which a cultural journalist charmingly introduces the program to the audience.
The 10th edition of "Klangwelle Zürichsee"
(Sound Wave Lake Zurich) marks a special anniversary for the StradivariFEST "Klangwelle Zürichsee" with its 2026/27 season: it is the 10th edition of a concert season that captivates audiences with its unique concept of exploring the musical world of a composer—or now, a country—from a variety of perspectives over the course of an entire season.
As before, the central aim remains: The audience and the musicians of the Stradivari Quartet immerse themselves in a musical language for an entire season – this time characterized by French elegance, refinement, and richness of color. In varying chamber music formations, from recital duos to chamber orchestras, the works of Boulanger, Chausson, Debussy, Dutilleux, Farrenc, Fauré, Françaix, Franck, Milhaud, Poulenc, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, and Tailleferre will be performed.
