A dazzling season opener: Kaija Saariaho's "Asteroid Toutatis" is followed by Johannes Brahms' Academic Festival Overture. Robert Schumann's Cello Concerto will be performed by Daniel Müller-Schott, one of the most internationally renowned cellists of our time. Finally, Gustav Mahler's rarely performed "Blumine" will be followed by the first movement of his famous "Resurrection Symphony."
