A program exploring the history and character of Hollywood:
Mozart is a nod to Miloš Forman's cult film Amadeus.
Castelnuovo-Tedesco, as well as Rachmaninoff and Korngold, are among the many European composers who found refuge in Hollywood and Los Angeles during the turbulent years before and during World War II.
Korngold later became one of Hollywood's most influential film composers.
Gershwin also wrote for Hollywood (including Shall We Dance with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers). Rhapsody in Blue is an absolute cult classic that has influenced entire generations of American film composers.
Conversely, Ravel was a major influence on Gershwin – Ravel's last composition (which remained unfinished) was also film music.

The piano duo Andrei Gologan and the Duo performs regularly throughout Europe, celebrated for its technical perfection and breathtaking tonal beauty.
Roxana Ioana Cîrciu is a chamber musician, festival organizer, soloist, and teacher. She currently lives in Salzburg, where she teaches at the Salzburg Music School, nurturing a new generation of pianists.
A series of first prizes at national and international piano competitions led to Roxana's orchestral debut at the age of 16 with the Banat Philharmonic, where she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3, Op. 37. This was followed by concert engagements in Germany, Austria, Hungary, and throughout Romania. Shortly thereafter, she was accepted to the renowned Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she graduated with distinction.
Together with Andrei Gologan, she founded the international Buzz Chamber Music Festival in Obertrum am See, Austria, which they jointly direct artistically. The festival presents classical chamber music from a modern, innovative perspective and fosters dialogue with new audiences.
Andrei Gologan, with his refined touch and technical brilliance, is considered a lyricist of the piano. His fascination with kaleidoscopic sound structures inspires spontaneous, unrestrained interpretations. These arise from his intensive engagement with historical performance practice.
As a sought-after soloist, Andrei performs with orchestras such as the Camerata Salzburg, the Kyiv Philharmonic, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Sándor Végh Chamber Orchestra. He is a regular guest at major festivals.
Andrei received his first piano lessons at the age of five, and just six months later he won his first competition. He began his musical training in Romania and later continued it at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where he graduated with distinction. He is a prizewinner of numerous international piano competitions and has received scholarships from renowned music academies.
He received important musical inspiration from artists such as Sir András Schiff, Daniel Barenboim, Ferenc Rados, Richard Goode, Claudio Martínez-Mehner, Gidon Kremer, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Rita Wagner, and Thomas Adès, who profoundly influenced his artistic thinking.
Since the winter semester of 2024, Andrei Gologan has been a lecturer in piano chamber music at the Freiburg University of Music.
