program

With Fahre, Schwyzerörgeli and cello player Kristina Brunner has
created a large-scale work that
makes soundscapes, moods, and the movement between the familiar and the unknown audible. Inspired
by the text of the same name by Pedro Lenz, word and music intertwine
in a poetic tapestry about being on the road – sometimes groovy, sometimes meditative
, always imbued with a joy of discovery.
The Kristina Brunner Ensemble unites musicians from the fields of contemporary folk music,
jazz, and free improvisation. In this unique formation, a vast sonic space unfolds
where tradition and innovation converge.
Author Pedro Lenz himself is part of the performance, bringing the literary dimension to life with his voice
. Brunner, who
received the City of Thun's Cultural Advancement Award in 2016, is considered one of the most exciting
voices in contemporary Swiss folk music.
