program
The concert format begins with a 75-minute Hatha yoga session led by Lisa Stepf, focusing on physical relaxation and mental concentration. During the yoga, balance, strength, and flexibility are cultivated, incorporating breathing and mindfulness exercises that promote focus and concentration. Shavasana, the concluding relaxation exercise, flows seamlessly into sound – followed by a 45-minute concert featuring soloists or chamber music ensembles performing music from different eras and styles – for an audience relaxing on yoga mats.
This format is suitable for audiences of all ages; basic yoga knowledge is desirable but not required.
With Lisa Stepf, Yoga and Concept, and the prizewinners and scholarship recipients of the Rahn Cultural Fund.
7:00–8:45 p.m. Hatha Yoga followed by music.
Music by A. Vivaldi, W.A. Mozart, C. Saint-Saëns, and others.
