A musical exploration of the past on Lake Zurich's Upper shores – Sybille Diethelm (soprano) and Fabienne Romer (piano), together with historians Basil Vollenweider and David Schwarb, present an evening of music exploring the history of Lake Zurich's Upper shores. Music, historical sources, and surprising stories intertwine to create an evening that is both entertaining and moving.
The program includes works by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Franz Curti, Joachim Raff, Arthur Brändlin, and Artur Beul, as well as the Einsiedeln Salve Regina. The program also focuses on the Curti family, who have close ties to the region.
Special Offer: Extend your evening with a Tavolata (a communal meal) at the Inselwirtschaft (Island Inn) in the company of the performers. This package includes concert admission (reserved seating), a Tavolata with the performers at the Inselwirtschaft, mineral water/coffee, and the return trip by boat taxi from Ufnau Island to Pfäffikon SZ. Travel to Ufnau Island is not included.
The concert lasts approximately one hour and takes place as part of the art ufnau "Zeitraum" festival – from May 22nd to October 18th, 2026, on the island of Ufnau.
