Silent Love:
An illustrious circle of friends is at the heart of the program presented by world-class violist Tabea Zimmermann, mezzo-soprano Anna Lucia Richter (winner of the 2026 Opus Klassik Award for "Singer of the Year"), and pianist Bertrand Chamayou. It was Robert Schumann who brought Johannes Brahms's talent to the attention of a wider public—and simultaneously placed a heavy burden on him with his laudatory magazine article. Nevertheless, Brahms was extremely grateful to his fatherly friend—and also felt a deep connection to Schumann's wife and later widow, Clara. The circle of friends also included the composer and, above all, violinist Joseph Joachim—whom both Schumann and Brahms delighted with wonderful works.
