The discourse is stimulated musically from various perspectives: on the one hand, with settings of the biblical story of Cain and Abel; on the other, with Bach's rivalry between Pan and Phoebus; and with Handel's Icarus myth, which exemplifies how we can become victims of our own inventions. Thanks to his inspiring name, a work by Carl Friedrich Abel is also included in the program.
