Giovanni Battista Pergolesi: Stabat Mater in F minor.
Among the numerous settings of the medieval "Stabat Mater" text, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Baroque setting occupies a special place. This last work by the composer, who died at the age of 26, inspired later generations with its lyrical beauty and emotional depth, and continues to resonate today. Soloists Tania Lorenzo Castro and Josy Santos will perform this masterpiece under the direction of Riccardo Fiscato. The Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra (TOBS!) will be augmented by SON students.
