Gile Bae was one of the first participants in Sir András Schiff's mentoring program "Building Bridges." She is known for her fresh interpretations of Bach.
For her Musikdorf debut, Gile Bae has chosen a program full of connections between Baroque, Romantic, and Modern music, featuring Busoni's piano transcription of Bach's monumental Chaconne from the Violin Partita, and the equally immense Handel Variations by Johannes Brahms.
Interspersed are the somewhat lighter music of Robert Schumann's Humoresque and Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber's Toccata, which makes many references to Baroque music.
