The Christmas concert with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, featuring vocal works by John Rutter and Beethoven's Ode to Joy, fits into several program strands this season. A large Lucerne choral family is formed, including the Klangwerk Lucerne Concert Choir, the choirs of the Lucerne Cantorei, the Lucerne Girls' Choir, the Lucerne Boys' Choir, and the ChorTon Vocal Ensemble.
This concert, designed for listening and singing along, is suitable for the whole family and includes theatrical Christmas stories interspersed between excerpts from John Rutter's "Mass of the Children," his orchestral meditations, and Beethoven's "Ode to Joy."
