Pianist Yvonne Lang and writer Gina Bucher, recipient of the Central Switzerland Literature Prize, bring together two Lucerne artists. Their writing paints a literary portrait of the present – characterized by keen observation, linguistic precision, and subtle humor. Where language reaches its limits, space opens up for music.
This space also encompasses two long-overlooked, now rediscovered, female composers: Marianna Martines and Clara Schumann. Excerpts from "Of Clouds and People" alternate with the bright optimism of Frédéric Chopin's famous Ballade No. 3 and the existential soundscapes of Leoš Janáček's "In the Mists."
An evening in which word and music merge, unfolding celestial journeys that, in a wondrous way, evoke a touch of contemplation.
