For his debut in the music village of Ernen, the internationally renowned Argentinian bass Nahuel Di Pierro has selected a diverse program. It includes German, Italian, and English music, by Bach and Handel.
In addition to the popular Bach cantata "Der Friede sei mit dir" (Peace be with you), the passionate music of Handel's cantata "Cuopre tal volta il cielo" (Call as it is today), with its musical depiction of a thunderstorm, is sure to be a highlight of the concert.
Finally, Di Pierro sings the beautiful aria "Vouchsafe, o Lord" as well as the gripping aria "Revenge, Timotheus cries" from Handel's time in England.
