program

A world tour without suitcases, jet lag, or passports? We invite you to our intern concert tonight, a musical journey around the world in 80 minutes. The interns of the 2025/26 concert season come from Switzerland, France, Spain, Austria, Ukraine, Russia, Korea, and the USA. Each brings a piece of their musical homeland – be it in the form of works by important composers from their country or through folk music deeply rooted in their respective cultures. Included in their repertoire: diverse styles, timbres, temperaments, and traditions meet, alternate, and engage in dialogue. The result is a musical mosaic that demonstrates the diversity of music – and how naturally it transcends boundaries.

Proceeds from the collection will benefit the musicians.

Ferdinand Huber - "Lueget, vo Berg und Tal" arranged for tenth strings by Léane Plain;
Modest Mussorgsky - "Pictures at an Exhibition" arranged for woodwind quintet by Joachim Linckelmann;
Samuel Barber - Molto adagio from the String Quartet in B-flat minor, Op. 11 "Adagio for Strings";
Franz Schubert - Octet for Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon and String Quintet in F major, D 803;
Borys Lyatoshynsky - String Quartet in A major, Op. 4
trad. - "Arirang" Korean folk song arranged by Léane Plain;
Manuel de Falla - "Danza del molinero" from "El sombrero de tres picos" for string quartet;
Jean Françaix - Dixtuor;
