The second subscription concert of the argovia philharmonic brings flamenco and orchestral sound together for the first time in the subscription series. Under the direction of chief conductor Josep Vicent, flamenco singer Ginesa Ortega and flamenco dancer David Romero perform Manuel de Falla's "El amor brujo." The piece tells a story of passion, heartbreak, and a mysterious spirit that determines the fate of a young woman. The second half of the concert continues with Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, "Eroica," which revolutionized music history. Dramatic themes, solemn funeral marches, and rousing final fanfares make this symphony one of the most popular orchestral works in the classical repertoire to this day.
