With her accordion interpretations, Viviane Chassot continually sets new standards. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician in renowned concert halls worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Leipzig Gewandhaus, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Wigmore Hall in London, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Tonhalle in Zurich. She has collaborated with conductors such as Simon Rattle, David Zinman, Riccardo Chailly, and Heinz Holliger, and is a frequent guest at international festivals. As a versatile musician, she transcends stylistic boundaries, boldly and innovatively combining classical music, jazz, contemporary music, and improvisation. In recent years, Viviane Chassot has premiered numerous works and is a recipient of the Kranichstein Music Prize. In 2015, she was awarded the Swiss Ambassador's Award in London. As an artist with international renown and a pioneer in her field, Viviane Chassot received the Swiss Music Prize in 2021. In November 2025, she performed with Nik Bärtsch's Ronin and Miss C-Line at the first SRF Culture Showcase, which was broadcast on Late Night Concert.

Viviane Chassot's album "Folk Flow," with works by Didier Squiban, Yann Tiersen, Yiruma, Erik Satie, Enrique Granados, Ludovico Einaudi, and many others.
"This time, I'm expanding the strictly 'classical' framework and combining classical music with jazz and free improvisation. I'm juxtaposing the beauty of simple, traditional Breton folk music with a waltz by F. Chopin or the Gnossiennes by E. Satie. Unexpected juxtapositions, connections, and transitions between different composers and eras merge into a unified whole."
The concert will take place in the church of Tschiertschen, which has been generously made available to us by the parish of Steinbach.
Concert begins at 5 pm
; doors open at 4:30 pm.
