"Romeo and Juliet" tells of the inevitability of fate and the eternal presence of death, of a deadlocked conflict and deep-rooted hatred. Love can overcome all this, but the lovers pay with their lives. The renowned Spanish choreographer Asun Noales and twelve dancers from her company OtraDanza have created a work with Prokofiev's ballet that seeks truth without hiding behind movement, using a choreographic language that embraces the complexity and contradictions that define both the story and its characters: emotional, intense, and seductive.
The Bühne Aarau and the argovia philharmonic have joined forces to present Prokofiev's ballet based on William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" as a unique production.
