The Hujässler are a defining ensemble of New Swiss Folk Music. Founded in 1998, the group combines traditional Ländler sounds with innovative elements, thus significantly shaping the concept of New Folk Music in Switzerland.
The lineup consists of: Dani Häusler – clarinet, Markus Flückiger – Schwyzerörgeli (Swiss accordion), Reto Kamer – piano, and Sepp Huber – double bass.
The musicians had already played together in various ensembles before forming the Hujässler. Their shared passion for folk music ultimately brought them together to perform traditional Ländler standards and develop their own compositions. These are characterized by harmonic and rhythmic features that enrich and further develop traditional folk music.
In 2011, Dani Häusler and Markus Flückiger were awarded the Central Swiss Culture Prize for their musical achievements. With their music, the Hujässler invite the audience to rediscover the diversity and depth of Swiss folk music. Their concerts are characterized by a joy of playing, virtuosity, and a deep respect for tradition, which they simultaneously interpret in an innovative way.
Admission including concert, aperitif, and dinner: CHF 120;
with additional overnight stay: CHF 170;
concert only: CHF 50
