Music by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750), Edvard Grieg (1843–1907), and Christoph König (born 1977).
Parents, as the saying goes, should give their children roots and wings. Johann Sebastian Bach was certainly a good father to his melodies in this respect, as there is hardly another composer whose music is so free and versatile, yet simultaneously so firmly grounded. The Uwaga! Quartet has been performing for almost twenty years with its lineup of two violins, double bass, and accordion – and will shape this evening with musical excursions to the Balkans and into the world of pop and jazz, as well as with new interpretations of Bach's music.
