Viola d'Emozione II

The Stella Maris Orchestra performs works by Vivaldi, Telemann, Porpora, and Bach on period instruments. The viola da gamba, played by the Italian soloist Maddalena del Gobbo, takes center stage. This five- to seven-stringed instrument captivates with its elegant yet mysterious sound. Maddalena del Gobbo is the first gamba player to record a solo album for Deutsche Grammophon. A concert program like a baroque firework display featuring an exceptional solo instrument, a captivating soloist, and works brimming with Italian emotion!
