Chamber music tacchi alti
tacchi alti is known for its unconventional and exciting programs. Every year, the ensemble tours Switzerland with a different program. Flautist Barbara-Gabriella Bossert and harpist Kathrin Bertschi met while studying at the Lucerne University of Music and founded the ensemble tacchi alti twelve years ago. Violist Hannes Bärtschi joined them a little later. Since then, the trio has performed hundreds of concerts in Switzerland and abroad.
A brief overview of recent projects:
In the 2018/19 season, tacchi alti toured with the small but exquisite program "Concert à cinq," performing Mozart's beautiful Glass Harp Quintet, the virtuosic Trio by Canadian composer Schafer, and the far too rarely performed but fantastic Quintet "Concert à cinq" by Belgian composer Jongen.
In 2017, the trio celebrated its 10th anniversary with the highly acclaimed program "Gesang der Nacht" (Song of the Night), featuring 13 different choirs and performing 30 concerts throughout Switzerland.
The previous season, tacchi alti toured with the magnificent mezzo-soprano Sonja Leutwyler, presenting a program of folksongs, classical folk music from around the world.
The year before that, the ensemble performed the theatrical program "Undine," a fusion of music and drama, with actress Mona Petri.
In the winter of 2013/14, tacchi alti toured with the spectacular program "Totentanz" (Dance of Death), a total work of art born from the fusion of music and dance.
Art-tv accompanied tacchi alti on two different projects, resulting in two beautiful videos. These, along with live recordings from various other concerts, can be viewed on our website: tacchialti.ch.
