The first four notes are probably the most famous in the entire history of music. Whether Ludwig van Beethoven truly intended, as his secretary recounted, to summon fate to the door with the famous "Ta-ta-ta-taaa" at the beginning of his Fifth Symphony remains an open question. In any case, with his so-called "Fate Symphony," the composer created a highly dramatic masterpiece that immediately draws the listener into the heart of the action and leads them into radiant light at the very end. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Concerto in D minor, K. 466, with its emotional depth and personal tone, is also a milestone in music history. The young Austrian pianist Lukas Sternath, first prize winner of the prestigious ARD Music Competition, will delve into these powerful emotional landscapes together with the Camerata Salzburg under Antonello Manacorda, after the audience has already embarked on a captivating musical journey with Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's concert overture "Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage."
