Tango on the Fjord
Soundscapes between Fire and Ice
Scandinavian soundscapes meet the expressive colors of South America and Spain. Works by
Grieg, de Falla, Sibelius, and Piazzolla combine to create a captivating program that unites contrasts and sets them in motion. In this program for cello and piano, characteristic musical languages enter into a compelling dialogue – between introspection and passion, stillness and movement.
Thomas Grossenbacher was principal cellist of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich for over 26 years. As a soloist and chamber musician, he maintains an active concert schedule and performs in Europe, the USA, and Japan. Thomas Grossenbacher is also a sought-after lecturer at the Zurich University of the Arts.
Marian Rosenfeld has received numerous international awards. She has performed as a soloist in leading concert halls throughout Europe, has appeared in productions for numerous radio and television stations, and is a regular presence on international stages through her chamber music activities.
The concert series "Evening Beer with Piano" is organized by the association "Classical Music and Culture for a Vibrant Everyday Life."
