As in last year's organ series, Rudolf Lutz and Christoph Schönfelder will once again perform together in a concert of the International Cathedral Organ Concert. Both are renowned and fantastic improvisers on the organ. Let us be surprised by how they complement Bach with improvisation, but above all, by how they meet the challenge of improvising a fugue together – a highly complex and very demanding undertaking! In the second part of the concert, Cathedral Organist Christoph Schönfelder will play Olivier Messiaen's cycle "Messe de la Pentecôte." A highly demanding work – Rudolf Lutz will provide explanations of the individual movements of the composition, thus enabling a deeper understanding for the audience.
