Nicolas Berndt has been the organist at St. Wenceslas Church in Naumburg since 2020 and is responsible for the world-famous Hildebrandt organ of 1746 – the only authentically preserved large organ that Johann Sebastian Bach significantly helped design and personally inspected. Therefore, the interpretation of works from Bach's time is almost a must in the first part of the concert on the choir organ. Otherwise, we can also enjoy less frequently heard pieces, such as a work by the young composer Catherine Kontz, this concert evening.
