About Classicpoint
Dear Classicpoint visitors
I am glad you have found your way to this platform. Classicpoint.net is the largest online portal in the field of classical music in Switzerland. This portal was created on May 1, 2006 and s´est is very well established in the field of culture. L´offre includes first of all a detailed calendar, a directory of performers, teachers, composers, organizations, ensembles etc., a part of news and press releases. In addition, we regularly publish interviews with personalities from the classical world.
The idea from the beginning was to create a portal that brings added value both for the visitor interested in classical music, as well as for musicians and organizers. The concert calendar is a good example. With an interface to major organizers such as the conservatories of Basel, Bern, Luzern, the major orchestras such as the Tonhalle-Orchester in Zurich, the Winterthur Symphony Orchestra, l´orchestre symphonique de Bern etc., the concerts are synchronized daily with their database. So this concert calendar is always up to date. Visitors have the opportunity to visit s´abonner at concerts and to be informed by email, lorsqu´un of the subscribing cantons registers a new concert. This way we can be sure that we will never miss an interesting concert again.
Classicpoint.net also serves as an interface with other platforms. The concerts are exported daily to the official website of Schweiz Tourismus (myswitzerland.com), the culture magazine Ensuite importe les concerts in the Printorgan as well as on the website kulturagenda.ch and Guidle also imports concert data. Organizers no longer have to register concerts on different platforms, but can register them on Classicpoint.net so that they can be exported directly to the partner platforms. This creates a much appreciated added value.
The same principle applies to press releases. Classicpoint.net users have the possibility to d´annoncer their press releases to a wide target audience on Classicpoint.net. Press releases are published up to the social network (Facebook and Twitter).
The unique Classicpoint.net platform brings the Classic to the Internet and tries to contribute to the filling of concert halls. It offers the opportunity to address young people who are at home on the Internet and social networks and to interest them in classical music.
The tremendous feedback and interest in the platform shows the need and potential. Many thanks go to the members who made the maintenance and development of this platform possible.
I wish you a pleasant visit on the website and hope that you will visit it often and perhaps even register to publish concerts, press releases and directory entries yourself.
With kind regards
